Golf Santa Ponsa I – Championship Heritage in Mallorca’s Southwest

Opened in 1977 and set across 73 hectares of Mediterranean parkland, Golf Santa Ponsa I is one of Mallorca’s most established and celebrated golf venues. Designed by Folco Nardi in collaboration with Pepe Gancedo, the course offers a rewarding round for all player levels, combining wide fairways, varied landscapes, and a strong tournament pedigree.
This 18-hole, par-72 course stretches to an impressive 6,543 metres, and is best known for its legendary 10th hole—one of the longest par 5s in Europe. The layout features lakes, olive, pine, and almond trees, and an open design that gives long hitters room to attack, while still requiring precision and control around the greens.
With its balance of distance and strategy, Golf Santa Ponsa I appeals to both amateurs and pros, and has proudly hosted a range of national and international competitions, securing its place as a cornerstone of Mallorca’s golf scene.
With a reputation built on distance, variety, and prestige, Golf Santa Ponsa I remains a favourite for both visiting golfers and tournament players alike—making it a key destination in Mallorca’s southwest.
